Corrupt NDC govt officials will be prosecuted soon – Osafo Marfo

The Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo has revealed that the Akufo Addo’s administration will ensure that “all NDC government officials implicated in large-scale corruption scandals will be brought to book”.



Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo speaking at the 25TH Annual NPP’s Ashanti Regional Delegates’ Congress at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Sunday, said government will take legal action against former government officials who will be implicated in corruption and those found to have misappropriated funds.

According to Osafo Marfo, the immediate past Mahama-led govt left behind a lot of debt because of corruption.

“We are going through papers after that majority of the NDC party corrupt officials will be prosecuted. We don’t want to lose any case in court for accusing NDC official as corrupt therefore we’re looking into some of their contracts to get concrete evidence. We inherited poor economy and debt but we will not pay majority of NDC debt because if we try to pay all the NDC debt, Akufo Addo cannot do any development” he said.

He therefore urged party supporters not to give Akufo Addo pressure to prosecute NDC party corrupt officials.
